Description: The Manx Youth Band was founded in 1970 by the late T J “Jim” Crosbie MBE. Now under the baton of musical director Ian Clague MBE, the Band has nurtured some of the very best young musicians in the Isle of Man and provided generations of islanders with the chance to forge lifelong friendships and memories from their association with music. From their home in Derby Road, Douglas, the organisation runs a youth band, a training band and a senior band, providing free tuition to over 70 players.

Description: Mini Musicians provide music classes for 0-7 year olds that are based on the world renowned Kodaly approach to music education. They run 15 weekly classes all over the Island, teach in nurseries and schools, and also run pop-up sessions in the holidays, and interactive concerts for children. Babies and toddlers progress through the musicianship program, and then have the opportunity to start an instrument when they are around age 5-6. Classes are fun and interactive, but the children learn key musical concepts without realising what they are doing!

Description: The Rock Project is an international franchise that was brought to the Island by Mannin Music in 2015. Children have small group lessons on drums, guitar, bass and vocals, and are then taught how to perform together as a band.
